Why This Role Matters
One of Australia’s most significant Build to Rent communities is looking for an Events & Experience Manager to lead resident engagement and community activation across a large scale residential precinct on the Gold Coast.
This is not a traditional events role. It sits at the heart of the operational performance of the asset.
In Build to Rent, resident experience drives retention, reputation and long term revenue performance. Events, partnerships and community programming are used strategically to strengthen resident engagement, support leasing outcomes and build a genuine sense of community.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering a precinct wide activation strategy that connects residents, supports leasing momentum and reinforces the long term value of the asset.
This role will suit someone who understands how experience, community and commercial outcomes work together within an operational residential asset.
The Experience You Will Build Here
You will lead the full resident engagement strategy across a large Build to Rent precinct.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and delivering a 12 month events and activation calendar
• Creating community programs for a diverse resident mix including students, professionals and families
• Delivering precinct wide events including cultural activations, wellness programs and networking events
• Building partnerships with local businesses, universities, health providers and hospitality operators
• Securing sponsorship and commercial partnerships that support the events program
• Working with leasing teams to integrate events into tours and support conversion and renewal activity
• Promoting community initiatives across digital channels and resident communications
• Tracking engagement, participation and renewal metrics to measure success
• Managing event budgets, vendors, risk assessments and operational compliance
The role also works closely with operations, facilities and leasing teams to ensure amenity spaces are activated effectively and the resident experience continues to evolve.
The Perfect Fit
This role suits someone who understands that events in Build to Rent are about far more than entertainment. They are about building community, strengthening retention and supporting the commercial performance of the asset.
You will likely bring:
• 5+ years experience in events, hospitality, community management, BTR or PBSA
• Experience delivering large scale events or community activation programs
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers and event logistics
• Confidence working with leasing or operational teams in residential environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse resident base
Experience in Build to Rent, PBSA, hospitality or lifestyle precincts would be highly beneficial.
